The Capital Region Transportation Council and the Town of Niskayuna will host a public information meeting to gather community input on draft corridor concepts for the “Safe on 7” Complete Streets Plan.
ALBANY, NY November 11, 2025 – The Capital Region Transportation Council (Transportation Council) and the Town of Niskayuna invite the public to attend an open-house style workshop for the Safe on 7 Complete Streets Plan on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Iroquois Middle School Cafeteria (2495 Rosendale Rd). The event will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 PM, with presentations at 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM.
The workshop will present draft corridor concepts developed to improve safety, mobility, and access along Route 7. The study area includes Route 7 from the Town of Colonie border at Rosendale/Vly Roads and St. David’s Lane. Community members are encouraged to stop by, review proposed concepts, and share input that will help shape the final recommendations for the plan.
The Safe on 7 Complete Streets Plan aims to enhance safety, mobility, and resiliency for all road users—drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, and transit riders—by addressing speeding, improving crossings, and fostering a more walkable and connected corridor.
