Transportation Council to Approve Northway Paving Projects in 2026

The Policy Board of the Transportation Council will meet to approve four project changes to its Capital Program.

ALBANY, NY November 28, 2025 – The Policy Board of the Capital Region Transportation Council (Transportation Council) will convene on December 4, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. to act on four amendments to projects on its capital program:

  • New Project funded through Regional Multi-site Bridge Preservation Set-aside – Rt 2 Congress Street Bridge over the Hudson, BIN 1004279, $10.2 M total project cost with preservation work conducted in 2026, project sponsor is NYSDOT.

Additional agenda items include a presentation by the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) on their Transit Development Plan for the Capital Region, approval of NYSDOT safety performance measure targets, and a discussion on planning tasks for the 2026-2027 Unified Planning Work Program.
