Greater Capital Region Household Travel Survey
The purpose of the Greater Capital Region Household Travel Survey is to collect critical travel behavior data for the Counties of Albany, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga (including the Town of Moreau and the Village of South Glens Falls), Schenectady, Warren and Washington Counties. This survey will inform transportation planning efforts including updates to the Systematic Transportation Evaluation and Planning (STEP) Model. The STEP Model is the Transportation Council’s travel demand model for estimating and projecting traffic flows in the Capital Region. The model is used to evaluate the effects of real estate development, transportation projects, and other changes upon travel demand in the region. For more information click

- September 4, 2026 – Deadline for questions about RFP
- September 11, 2026 – RFP Addendum(s) posted
- September 18, 2026 – Submission deadline
- September 21, 2026 – October 5, 2026 – Submission Evaluation
- October 2026 – Consultant Selection, notification, and initiation of contract execution process.
