Technical Assistance

The Community Planning Technical Assistance Program offers support to communities undertaking small scale transportation and community planning initiatives. The Technical Assistance Program is jointly managed by the Transportation Council and the Capital District Regional Planning Commission (CDRPC).

New project proposals are accepted on a rolling basis and may require a 10% in-kind services match.

2024 Program Guidelines

On-demand services available through the Transportation Council include trail counts, bicycle and pedestrian user counts, crash data analysis, traffic counts, modeled background growth rates, and congested corridor field visits.

Additional, larger scale planning assistance is offered through our Community and Transportation Linkage Planning Program. Learn more.
