The Transportation Council’s Policy Board will meet to approve the 2025-2030 Transportation Improvement Program
ALBANY, NY May 30, 2025 – The Policy Board of the Capital Region Transportation Council (Transportation Council) will convene on June 5, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. The agenda includes the approval of the 2025-2030 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The TIP is the Transportation Council’s 5-year program of federally funded transportation projects for the Capital Region. Over $1.6 B in pavement, bridge, transit, safety, bicycle/pedestrian, and other projects are included in the TIP with the largest being the $690 M replacement of the Livingston Avenue Bridge. The Transportation Council is recommending over $211 M in funding for 29 new site specific projects. View our interactive project map to learn more.
The agenda also includes approval of 2022-2027 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) amendments, approval to support the CDTA’s 2025 Targets for Transit Asset Management Performance Measures, and approval of the Transportation Council’s Air Quality Conformity Determination document. Additional agenda items include delegation of Policy Board authority to the Planning Committee to release In Motion: The Plan to 2050 for public review, and discussion on the Capital Region Vision Zero Action plan.
Executive Director Sandra Misiewicz said, “Adopting the five year TIP is a significant first step toward identifying the projects that will use federal transportation funds in the Capital Region. We look forward to working with our project sponsors, both large and small, to implement these high priority transportation projects in a timely manner.”
