The Transportation Council’s Planning Committee will meet to assign funds to projects to be included in its 2025-2030 Transportation Improvement Program.
ALBANY, NY January 23, 2025 – The Planning Committee of the Capital Region Transportation Council (Transportation Council) will convene on January 29, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. to continue to develop the 2025-2030 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The Planning Committee will act on remaining changes to existing TIP projects and will begin assigning $190M to transportation project set-aside programs and new project proposals. One new project is also being proposed for the existing 2022-2027 TIP by NYSDOT for the I-787 Viaduct over Broadway bridge in the City of Albany (NYSDOT PIN 1051.90).
The Planning Committee will also act on the draft 2025-2026 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) to be released for public review, review a summary of the 2022-2027 TIP Administrative Modifications, and review the status of transportation planning projects.
